How did I get here?
I used to sling flowers for a living and LOVED it…a professional petal pusher if you will. For many years you would find me spending my days working at a beautiful Garden Center in Northern Virginia where I specialized in Annuals and Container Gardening. I then moved on to a wholesale grower in Southwestern Virginia, specializing in perennials, grasses and ground covers. Now, I am a full time Realtor specializing in buyer and seller assistance, and can offer a little advice in the curb appeal department among other things as well! I love creating, digging in the dirt and helping my customers and clients do the same. After work you’ll find me in my garden at home planting, potting, harvesting……….the list goes on:-) Come along and follow me and all of my gardening adventures!
And in case you couldn’t get enough about me…
I am a full time Realtor in Northern Virginia, part time bartender, and full time plant and animal lover.
I began my Real Estate career working for a developer in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area in 2005 (a brief break from the Green Industry), which led me to obtain my Real Estate license, and then on to general brokerage with Long & Foster, then RE/MAX Gateway, and finally to my forever home at Samson Properties.
I was a dual career Realtor from 2007-2017 and in 2018 I dove in full time with Samson Properties. I’m proud of my 20+ years in the Green Industry, working in multiple departments over the years at Merrifield Garden Center, lastly as the Annuals department buyer and manager (a tough job but by far the most fun!). In 2016 I made the switch from retail to wholesale as an Outside Sales Rep for Riverbend Nursery located in Floyd County, VA. I have a true passion for plants, primarily annuals and perennials, container gardening being one of my favorite past times.
I still remain active in the Green Industry serving as Treasurer on the board of the Northern Virginia Nursery & Landscape Association (NVNLA). In addition, I continue to share knowledge and educate children and adults about plants and gardening.
